Fortescue Metals Group - Christmas creek operation

Business Transition:

Lead the planning and execution of the transition of Australia’s largest mining contract, bringing the contract between Downer and FMG in house.  This incorporated the management of People (around 600), facilities, equipment (over 150 pieces of Heavy Mobile Equipment), parts, tooling, procedures, etc to an in house operation with minimal disruption to the operating mine.  This transition was completed in record time, saving the client 100’s of millions of dollars.


Remote Operations Centre ramp up:

Following the transition of operations to an in house model, Allscope Holdings was engaged to lead the ramp up of the operations centre for the Mine, Processing facilities and Train Load Out operations.  This included the ramp up of the mine operations which had recently been taken over in the beforementioned transition.  Some of the key achievements in this project included the ramp up of operations to full production, setting and distribution of KPI’s to ensure visibility over key metrics of the operation, alignment of site and operations centre personnel, chairing and facilitation of daily ramp up meetings


Intervention and Recovery of Mobile Maintenance operations:

Project currently in progress.  This project encompasses leading the Mobile Maintenance team at Christmas Creek operations to world class safety, availability and reliability.  This is a team of 450 personnel looking after all mobile equipment, light vehicles, tyres, dewatering equipment maintenance, site communications, planning and engineering amongst others.

AMCI Wireless

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, Allscope Holdings had primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all operational and financial-related activities of the company. This included direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partner compliance and private and institutional financing.
